College – Middle Tennessee State University – 1 year… and dropped.

Favorite Band – Changes often. Past favorites: Allman Brothers, Gov’t Mule, Derek Trucks, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Moon Taxi, The Duhks, Cage The Elephant, Cadillac Sky.

Favorite Bass player – Allen Woody. Google him.

Interesting Fact – Mine and Taylor’s Momma is from Germany, and I’ve been to Germany 3 times.

Proud Fact – I have never drunk any alcohol, smoked a cigarette, or done any drugs. Thanks to God’s grace, and because my Grandpa always told me not to as a kid.

Best Friend – My brother Tay.

Most memorable Vespers moment thus far?

We haven’t done too much yet, but I would say the time we played the Bluegrass Underground show in the Cave with Cadillac Sky was a great moment for me. Just that whole weekend was crazy. We drove all night to get to Cumberland Caverns in east Tennessee from southern Alabama and got like 2 hours of sleep in the Van. The show started at 1pm, so we had to get an early jump compared to how normal shows work. But yeah, it was just cool vibes. Cadillac Sky really put on a good show, and we did a cover of “Video Killed the Radio Star” with them to close it out. We had a good time that day! April 17th 2010. I think.

Random Questions I hear:

How did you meet the girls in the band?

My brother and I met them through mutual friends in Nashville. The Lewis Sisters invited me and my brother over to their house for a jam kinda deal some point in 2008. The girls were there, and we saw them play a song or two and long story short, we became distant friends. For about a year we went to each other’s local shows, and eventually, Callie asked my brother and me to play a show or two with them in like May of 2009, and we “jammed” and fell in musical love. First show together was in August 2009.

How long have you been playing bass?

I picked up an electric bass when I was 14. I first played upright when I was 17. First played music in 5th grade concert band. French Horn.

Why do you have a dog’s name?

Talk to my parents. Bruno is a German name, and I am named after a German uncle!
